Nightcrawlers and Dazzlers emerge from the smoke,
they're stroking the egos, they're floating the boats
-slow down fuckin' Moth-man! don't fly so close -

in the bottom of the well, you can kiss but never mind-
there's a cave behind your eyes where y'let y'carpet fly,
in the shadow of the cyclops,

Teeny Tyranosaurus had teeny tyranosaurusy arms,
he's just movin' around in the place, he ain't meanin' no harm,
he had to swing his big ol' tail, he hadda let it flail,
he had to swing it around an' around an' around an' around
-so Daz sez t'Teeny
Teeny y'look like a wreck
he just throws his big head back and laughs
I don't get no respect
this night is a vampire, and I am at it's command,
and so, quite despite myself,
I had to shake his teeny hand.

when my glassy stare first became aware of a hummingbird suddenly perched
what feathered jewel could charm me so?
so quick, so bright, so sharp
-was I a fool,
oh no no no, not to see it from the start?
oh no
one random night under disco lights,
I was killin' in a billiards room -
when a pigeon with a morbid death-wish came searchin' for it's doom
what teathered fool had slid this way?
so lit, so lean, so dear
-would he know how to get me there?
would he know how to disapear?
oh no
and in the dark, we drop our guards,
we fill our throats with smoke and stars
and yellow moons and blue horseshoes
for fear the day will break too soon
